Zizzi
Manchester
Zizzi commissioned Dover Design to convert this Grade 2 listed Lloyds Bank into their flagship city restaurant.
Built in elaborate Edwardian Baroque style in 1912 over the site of the old Town Hall, the City and English Heritage consider it an important part of Manchester’s history, and as a result it took us over a year to gain consent for the work. A challenging brief as the views into the building are restricted to the entrance door, but once inside the sheer scale of the space, and the lavish use of marble and hardwood offer a unique experience. Dover managed to design around the constraints of the listing to bring Zizzi’s brand values to life in this remarkable space.
